From Betsy Dillard Stroud"s book "The Artist's Muse" Karen Riehm took the three stacks of cards out and shuffeled - and happily drew the next 3 cards for our group assignments!! Karen gets to pick next time!!
#1 Windows of Opportunity Card #7:
"Make your painting a combination of transparent, translucent and opaque passages.
A transparent pigment allows you to see completely through it.
A translucent pigment has a opaque added to it, and of course opaque means you can't see through it al all."
and/or
#2 Doors of Awareness Card #14:
"Do an abstract painting of a subject, making it realistic enough so a viewer could identify the subject, yet keeping it ambiguous."
and/or
#3 Circles of Growth Card #17:
"Do an unlimited-palette painting. Use at least twelve pigments.
To finish the painting, glaze a transparent wash of one color over some or all of the painting to pull together the composition."
