From the book "The Artist's Muse" Carole Hillsbery took the three stacks of cards out and shuffeled -
and happily drew the next 3 cards for our group assignments!! Carole gets to pick the next person to draw next month!!


#1 Windows of Opportunity Card #25:
"Coat your hot-pressed paper with a layer of Permanent White gouache that has the consistency of cream. Let it dry.
Paint over this with thick, almost undiluted watercolor. After it dries, lift out lights and areas using water and a tissue.
(Make sure you change tissues each time you blot.) Glaze over blotted areas or repaint them thickly."

#2 Doors of Awareness Card #18:
"Do a completely nonobjective painting using only brushstrokes and/or lines."

#3 Circles of Growth Card #14:
"Choose your favorite color and make a painting out of it. Use different values and hues of the same color.
Also incorporate the color you like the least or one you haven't tried before.
Reverse the process: Make the dominant color the pigment you like the least and add a smidgen of your favorite color."
